Mere coincidences
That can make me laugh,
plant a smirk on my face
But this time around,
Only a sigh escapes from
my lips
This time around,
It’s a different kind of
irony
The kind where intentions
are to impress and wow
And yet my actions only
resulted in disappointment
Without a single comment
on my progress
Why did I even bother
Irony is not a funny
thing
